Your student will work with individuals in the academic college associated with their official degree program throughout their academic career. Incoming students are advised through one of these colleges below, based on degree programs and academic goals. 

University College

OSU’s University College includes key undergraduate student support services for Pre-Health and Pre-Law student services, University College Advising, Scholar Development, Transfer and Veteran Services, and LASSO Academic Services.

University College Advising

University College advisors serve students whose potential major interests span multiple academic colleges, students who are admitted through special admissions programs, and students whose major area is undecided. The advising specialists in University College assist as students explore their options and build a strong foundation for success.

Engineering student

Pre-CEAT

Pre-CEAT advising specialists work closely with students interested in Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) degree programs who may need to focus on math and science coursework before officially declaring their major. Pre-CEAT students enroll in coursework for their chosen CEAT degree area, with special attention to required math and science.

Pre-Professional (Pre-Health and Pre-Law)

Students pursuing professional education paths in health and law are encouraged to utilize the University College Pre-Professional office regardless of undergraduate major. Pre-Health and Pre-Law advisors provide academic and extra-curricular preparation for reaching health and legal pre-professional paths.

College of Arts and Sciences

The College of Arts & Sciences includes 24 departments and schools offering more than 100 diverse majors in fine arts, humanities, social, mathematical, physical and life sciences, as well as media and strategic communications. 

College of Education and Human Sciences

The College of Education and Human Sciences offers 35 undergraduate degree programs leading to careers in aviation, education, child and family services, fashion design, health, human development, interior design, merchandising, nutrition and related fields.

College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology

The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology includes 8 schools and more than 20 undergraduate degrees. Students gain the knowledge and tools to solve problems with creativity, leadership and cutting-edge technical knowledge.

Ferguson College of Agriculture

With 16 majors and 52 study options, plus more than 60 student organizations and competitive teams, the Ferguson College of Agriculture offers diverse opportunities to study and apply knowledge in an area that is of interest to you.

Spears School of Business

The Spears School of Business offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 10 different disciplines. Coursework develops essential knowledge and skills for career preparation and professionalism. The core curriculum serves as a foundation for all business majors and provides opportunities to explore career options. 

The Honors College

The Honors College works serves students from every academic college who wish to take their coursework a step above. Students accepted into The Honors College are advised through one of the academic colleges above, and work with a secondary Honors advisor.
